WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE IN YOUR GARAGE?
Burbank is a lighthearted comic book series with the feel of 1980s storytelling such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Back to the Future. It will follow Rock Williams, a dad, husband, and regular dude as he uses his time machine to do everything you can imagine. Will it always go as planned? Hell no. Something always goes wrong when dealing with time travel and that’s why we love it. You’ll cringe, laugh, and cheer as we watch Rock problem-solve his way back home in time for dinner.
ISSUE #1 – “STAR WARS – PART 1”
It’s a typical day until Rock’s best friend Josh discovers his time machine in the garage. Rock tells Josh everything about his past and the fact that he has struggled for years with how to tell his wife Kim. After reviewing Rock’s “Time Travel Bucket List,” the two decide to go back to 1977 for the opening day of Star Wars at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
ISSUE #2 – “STAR WARS – PART 2”
Rock and Josh cross paths with a couple of Low-Life Hollywood thieves who make off with Josh's 21st Century wallet and the Star Wars movie tickets. The two bros put their smarts together to retrieve the wallet containing modern-day-- and potentially future altering artifacts and bring down the gang like Starsky and Hutch.
